It started with one silly, made-up word.

In 1996, Laura was in the middle of one of those parenting moments where nothing was working. Her child was upset and no amount of comfort was helping — not even a car ride. So she did something unexpected. She made up a word. A completely nonsensical, out-of-thin-air word — and just kept saying it to him.

PunkerDoodle.

It worked. Just like that. And that one small moment became the seed of something that would grow into so much more.
